Well.....Nate remembered!!
Last night he got off work early. His parents came over for the night. So nice of them!! I was glad that the kids would be able to sleep in their own beds.....especially Roo, it being her first night away from us. I was all giddy and had butterflies like we were dating as Nate & I took off for our fun adventure. Obviously I don't need much to make me happy!! I love just being with him, holding his hand, laughing hysterically at his cute faces and comments he makes. He still makes me feel so special and beautiful and loved.
We went to Olive Garden for dinner. Hello.....yum!! We hadn't been there since our anniversary last year!! Good food, fun conversation.....then right in the middle of our dinner, Nater whips out this little box and sets it on the table in front of me. Total surprise!! He gave me the cutest smile ever, and all the people around us were watching!! Inside was a beautiful necklace, I absolutely love it!! What a sweetheart!
I knew about Olive Garden (we had a gift card).....but I had no idea what we were doing next! I knew we were going somewhere, he had told me to pack an overnight bag..... So we drove downtown to the Anniversary Inn. I have always wanted to stay there!! We checked in, got our room key....I still had no idea what kind of room he had gotten.
We got to our door, he opened it....and lo and behold....

Complete with a Bungalow, waterfall, & tropical birds :)
Cheesecake, sparkling cider, and breakfast in bed, too!!!
Okay, Okay.....so it obviously wasn't a real tropical island.....but for the romantics that Nate & I are, it might as well have been!! It was absolutely perfect!!

Okay so I just found your new blog so I'm way behind but anyway, that is so cool that he surprised you and took you to anniversary inn! How fun.
Oh and I laughed when I saw that you are into lost, it is my favorite show now, I watched all five seasons within three months probably and can't wait for next Tuesday now that I'm all caught up:)
awwwwwwwww! So sweet! We love the Anniversary Inn - we stayed there on our honeymoon and our first 4 anniversaries! That looks like such an awesome room! Happy Anniversary! :)

Sarah, we'll have to talk about what rooms you have stayed in, they have so many fun ones to choose from!! I want to go back every year....but unfortunately that costs $$$$$!!!!! I think we'll splurge every 5 years.
The fact that he remembered you had said somethinb about wanting to go to Bora Bora speaks volumes about his listening, romance, and love skills for you! I'm so glad you had such an incredible night!

5 years already! WOW. My brother is so romantic! Im glad you liked your necklace! He sent a picture to me in an email and told me he was getting it for you! I told him it was perfect for you! So beautiful! HAPPY 5 YEARS!
