Playing Ball, Sunday Sweets & More Bucket Listing!

Cam has this squishy ball and if you squeeze it, it balloons out and Claire shrieks at the top of her lungs.  It's hilarious.

Haha, this picture cracks me up!

Sunday Sweets:

So I get to cross another thing off of my Bucket List tonight!  I'm volunteering at a 5K Fun Run!  I've always wanted to volunteer at a race.  Salt Lake Running Co. is putting on a free 5K to honor Boston.  I am obviously too sore to run 3 miles tonight, but I really wanted to be involved.  So I decided this was the perfect event to volunteer at.  I think it's going to be really fun.

Haul Out The Holly

We had a lovely Sabbath Day today.  Sometimes I wish every day could be Sunday!  Tonight we put on some Christmas music and let the kids decorate the tree.  It was great because Cam is old enough to really get it now, so Nate and I got to just chill on the sofas with Claire and let the older two go to town.  They did a pretty good job, and they were SO happy and excited.  They kept running around, shouting "Happy Christmas!".  Holidays just get more and more fun as the kids get older.

We spent some time tonight trying to teach Cameron about the true meaning of Christmas, how it is really all about the birth of our Savior.  Suddenly Allie goes, "I want to snuggle with Jesus."  She kept staring at His picture on our wall and pointing.  Nate said, "You can snuggle with Daddy...." and held out his arms, but she only wanted Jesus!  We promised her that Jesus will give her the biggest hug in the world when she sees Him again.

Cam was playing with some of the Nutcrackers I have, and I told him, "I was in the Nutcracker when I was younger."  He looked at me all confused and said, "You were inside it?"

I love my little family.

Beautiful Daddy & Daughter

Haha, I love these two.  They're such cheesers.

Sweepy Cwaire all snuggly with Daddy.

400 Degrees

Here is what a 400 degree flat iron will do to little Miss Roo's hair.
(Don't worry, she sat super still...)
Sure wish my hair would look like this!

Beautiful little thing, isn't she.

Happy Sabbath Day!!

Cheeser Boy wanted a picture too.  He insists on doing his hair all by himself every Sunday, and thanks to having such a handsome Daddy for an example, I think he does a great job!!  It's cute to watch, he gels it down just like Nate and then smooths it all out.  My Little Nate!

Playing 3D I-Spy after Church today.

We have been sooo busy...and I was worried Summer was going to drag by!!  Lots of birthday parties (cousin Cooper had his party at Jumpin Jacks, my kids were in heaven!  Tonight is cousin Ethan's pirate party!) and lunch dates with Dad and playdates with pre-school friends and countless hours spent outside just playing and being kids.  That's what they do best!

30 Weeks pregnant now...and wow, nothing like a good Braxton-Hicks contraction to take my breath away.  Ouch.

Summer Lists

I have made some Summer lists.

A list of books to read.
A list of baby items to purchase/prepare.
A list of deep cleaning still to do.  (A list of jobs for Nate to do for me....)
A list of healthy ideas for the children's daily 10 am morning snack.
A list of scripture and gospel study goals.
A list of school/reading/learning goals for Cameron.
A list of ways to be healthier for the next 10 weeks.
A list of baby names....girl names.

But really, my most important summer list really only has one thing on it:  Enjoy EVERY minute of every day that God allows me to spend with my children because each day is truly a gift.  The days feel long, mundane and exhausting most of the time, but it's worth it because they are worth it.

PS....Roo got her FIRST haircut this morning.  Just a trim, but it was really hard to watch!!  Her mop is crazy like mine, but I love her hair and can't wait for it to keep growing!!

Happy Easter 2011

Yesterday we went to Nate's parents house for dinner and an Easter egg hunt with all of his siblings.  Cameron loves being with his cousins.  There was so much good food.  Robyn planned a fun Easter for her grandkids this year.  There was a fun egg hunt in the backyard....I don't know why, but it never gets old watching how excited and funny kids are during egg hunts!  Each grandchild had an egg with their name on it, then they 'turned in' that egg for a Pillow Pet.  My kids were SO excited about that!  Roo got a rabbit, and Cam got a penguin (which he named Peter Pan).

This morning the Easter Bunny gave Cameron some Spiderman socks and cup, and Roo got some Dora pajamas and sunglasses.  We enjoyed our Church meetings and are off this afternoon to Kurt & Patty's for dinner.

Roo's pretty dress that is actually for Megan's wedding in August, but Grandma let her wear it today.

Happy Easter!
Christ lives.  He is risen.  He leads and loves us as individuals and as families.
We honor Him.  We love Him.

Sunday Sweets, Slam Dunks & Sweet Deals

Teach me how to Cammer...

He loves to dunk.  Nate is also teaching him how to block shots.

We've been working hard this past week rearranging and organizing.  We moved our bedroom to where the playroom was, so now it's complete with crayon scribbles on the cinder block walls and spiderman drawings on the closet doors....romantic, yes?  Nate and I went on a 'date' to Target to find lamps, and we snagged these lamps for a whopping $4.24/each.  I know they're sort of tacky, but I'm still giddy over it.  Next on the to-get list is nicer bedding (obviously) and maybe paint.  But that said, I've decided to stop making excuses for or feeling embarrassed about our plastic, mis-matched furniture and lack of cute decor.  This is my house...like it or not!  It's our home, and there is more love here than in any decked-out, fancy, huge or expensive home I can think of.

Cameron's so pretty...
