Our Perfect Day

Today was a Perfect Day.  Made me think of the song...you know, at the beginning of Legally Blonde:

On this perfect day,
Nothing's standing in my way
On this perfect day,
When nothing can go wrong
It's the perfect day,
Tomorrow's gonna come too soon
I could stay, forever as I am
On this perfect day

We woke up early and headed over to West Jordan.  Nate's parents watched the kids while Nate & I went to a temple session at the Jordan River Temple.  I love the temple.  I love being there with Nater boy.  The best part of the day was when we got to the Celestial Room, we both turned to each other and told each other we felt the EXACT same impression during the session.  We almost started laughing because it caught us both off guard.  It wasn't something we had planned to think or pray about....the impression just both came to us individually.  And now we feel more confident than ever that the Lord is paving a specific path for our family to follow....and we're pretty sure where that path leads now!  I'll keep you posted...

Then we stopped at Target to get this:

Totally recommend this for your little ones, by the way.
and this:
(yeah....check out Half of my Heart with Taylor Swift)

Then we stopped at Chik-Fil-A to grab lunch and went back to fetch the children.  They had a ball with Grandma....wagon rides, basketball, and cookies.  Aren't Grandma's the best?  Both kids snoozed all the way home while Nate & I rocked out to the above-mentioned JM goodness.

We got home a little after noon and spent the next 5 hours playing outside.  Nate went to play tennis with his friend, so I got lots of girlie chat time with my sweet friend Sarah.  When Nate got back, we stayed out in the sun and played frisbee and ball with the kids.  I love being together, all 4 of us.  We then came in for dinner: Lime Chicken Taquitos.  So delish...recipe on my dinner blog, if interested.

I ended the evening by going visiting teaching to my favorite beautiful Annie.  Best hour of my and Kristi's month is our visits with Annie.  Amazing discussions happen in that humble apartment.  We love our visits with her so so much.  Tonight was different though....after a fabulous discussion on trials and faith....the conversation took a turn, and we were seriously laughing harder than I have in a long, long time.  Just crying.  My friend's little boy tried to flush himself down the toilet....she had a picture of him crouched and wedged into the toilet.  Then we started talking about/quoting THIS article written by Jay Mohr.  Oh my heavens, read it.  Bran muffins & cloth seats.... I think that's when Annie lost it.  And then Kristi was telling girlie stories that I won't elaborate on, but that dropped us to the floor...if we weren't there already.  It was seriously the funniest evening ever.  Such a fun night.

Now my hottie man and I are going to watch LOST (we missed it on Tuesday)....Series Finale is this weekend, so we must catch up!

1. I'm listening to that song right now. I'm not crushing on John like you but I like this tune. I imagine us driving down the highway listening to John just feeling like everything is right in the world. Shall we?

2. I used to own silver moon boots, in the wintertime when I was 12. Beat that Cam!

3. Allie looks so cute in the 2nd last picture. She's totally aiming for the moon. Up, up and away!

4. I want to know your plans, although maybe I can guess?!!

5. I will probably try the lime chicken taquitos this summer. I want to cook lots for my Jeremyface.

I had another comment but I forgot it... maybe I'll write it later.
