The concert was amazing.
We had 7th row seats. Owl City opened for John, and they were pretty cool. I always feel bad for the opening acts though, because it's obvious that nobody is there to really see them! Owl City didn't play for very long. Two years ago, Colbie Caillat opened for John, and she played for a lot longer. She was awesome though, I loved her live.
I was like freaking out the whole time they were setting up for John. When the lights when dark, and we saw him walk out, I couldn't help but start screaming with the thousands of people!
So the show was just awesome. He played for 2 full hours. He played Vultures, Slow Dancing, Why Georgia, Perfectly Lonely, Heartbreak Warfare, Who Says, Belief, Half of my Heart, Do You Know Me?, Gravity, Edge of Desire, and he covered Journey's 'Don't Stop Believing'. He did some sweet jam sessions too. In between songs, he gave hilarious monologues.
What a fun night...worth the wait all summer and worth every penny! We love you, John!!

(pause the playlist if you want to hear the videos)
We were staring straight into the sun for this shot, but it's proof we were there! :)
Owl City. I wasn't a huge fan of their style, but they were fun to hear. I liked the string instruments they use in their music.
Our first shot of the man himself.
We had to take our crappy point & shoot camera, so the quality on these aren't the best. And the sound on the videos is awful too...he is amazing live, probably better than on his albums.
During one of his little speeches. He was SO interactive with the audience. He acknowledged all of people's signs and just had great things to say about Salt Lake City. He said earlier that day, he had met the nicest person he thinks he's ever met. Good job, Utah!
"Heartbreak Warfare"
"Who Says"
"Half of My Heart"
