I had NO idea!

I had to fill out some forms at Cameron's preschool orientation in September.  Two of the questions said: "What would you like your child to learn or gain from attending preschool this year?"
"Is there anything you need us to know about your child?"

My answer was this: "I would love for Cameron to learn how to listen better to his teachers (parents, leaders, etc) and learn to follow directions better.  He has a busy mind and seems to be thinking a million things at the same time.  He has a lot of energy, so I'd love for him to learn how to focus that energy and be able to sit down for longer than a few minutes and work on a project or activity."

So over the past few weeks, his teacher, Lisa, has had to pull me aside to tell me things like this:
"Cameron doesn't listen to me very well."
"Cameron doesn't follow my directions."
"Cameron has so much energy."
"Cameron doesn't like to sit still or focus on what I'm talking about."

REALLY???  MY Cameron??

I.
HAD.
NO.
IDEA......

PS. In all fairness to my sweet boy, he's actually doing really well.  His other teacher, Will, only has wonderful things to tell me about him.  Teacher Lisa seems to struggle with the rowdy boys more than Will....Cameron talks nonstop about how much he loves Will, and so I'm thinking Lisa just loses her patience quicker.  I love my Cambop, and I am so proud of him!!!

PPS. Dear Cameron's future wife,
I'm writing this down so that when your son is driving you to insanity, you will read this and hear it from me that he got it from his father, Cameron.  Atleast I hope Cam gets one just like him.....!!!!
Love, Your future mother-in-law

I think Cameron is like every other little boy his age. I can never get Ethan to focus on one thing, sit still, or listen all the time. I'd be worried if our little boys didn't have the energy they have. Now all we need to do is find a way to bottle some of it for ourselves. What I'd do for an ounce of Ethan's energy!

Cam is full of life. Don't worry. Carter had similar reports and I used to agonize and lose sleep over them. As I had more children and as he matured, I realized that he was more than likely not going to end up in prison due to these comments by the teachers.

Hopefully. :)

When I took Ethan to church for the first time out here, I told the nersery that he was really wild, and doesn't like to listen... When I went to pick him up, the sister told me that Ethan wouldn't help clean up, or color. All he wanted to do was play with the toys. lol. This age is SUPER hard.... But all I can say is ... I warned you. lol.
