- Since Nate has been home early every day, we've been using our relaxing evenings to invite friends over for dinner. I'm not a very good cook or hostess, but I'm really enjoying getting to spend more time with our wonderful friends. And it gives me a good reason to force myself to clean this place up!
- Speaking of 'this place'....I hate it sometimes. These apartments were built in the 70's, and we've managed to make it 3+ years with no major issues. But this morning, I woke up to a backed-up bathroom sink (it's full of black, murky water that won't move....hoping Maintenance hurries it up!). And we have mold growing in our kitchen window....again. Our closet doors are busted. We haven't had hot water in a week. And when the wind blows, our living room blinds blow with it. I figure we'll be blessed for our sacrifice of not demanding high-quality living our first 6 years of marriage so far...
- Nate caught one of his students cheating. And he had to confiscate another's cell phone one day. I love "authoritative Nate"....he's sexy!! It's so wonderful that he's getting exposure to this sort of thing now...I can see his confidence with these students growing every day. He always says, "I want them to respect me, not just assume they can get away with stuff by being my friend." He's going to ROCK his own classroom. Seriously...I LOVE it when Nate turns into "Mr. Wood"!!!
- I'm approaching 12 weeks and starting to feel a little better. I'm so relieved, it doesn't seem like the nausea will linger to week 19, like it did with Roo's pregnancy. It has been a really, really rough 7 weeks for me. I feel like I have neglected my poor babies. Every day Cam would say, "Mom, can we go do something fun today?" I would expect him to fuss or pout when day after day, the answer would be "Maybe...but Mommy doesn't feel very good today." But no...sweet Cam always answers with, "I'm sorry you're sick, Mommy." And then he'd hug me, kiss my belly, and take Roo into the playroom to play. Seriously...a blessing. He's so excited about this baby that I have no doubts that he remembers him/her and is excited to be reunited. He's convinced it's a boy, but he promised he won't be sad if it's a girl.
- We're pretty set on names (the girl name has 2 options, but we think we'll stick with the top choice), and we think they are so adorable. Perfect for our family. BUT...I've told a few people and gotten so-so or even negative feedback, so from now on, we're keeping our mouths shut. Seriously....
- On Tuesday night, Nate and I went to a Culture Night at his parent's church and did a booth about Korea. It was fun to dig out our mission stuff, wow the memories just come flooding back! We gave everyone samples of kimchi and mandu, and we were surprised that most people liked the kimchi!
- I've been starting to read more again, like I did last Summer.
- My little baby bump is at the annoying stage of being too small for maternity clothes, but definitely too big for my regular clothes.
- Even though we're pretty sure that we don't want to do TFA anymore, we've decided to continue with the interviewing process...we figure if nothing else, it will be good experience for Nate to practice his interview skills. Plus, it'll be fun to see if we would have ended up with an offer. He has the phone interview tomorrow, and then we wait again.
- My friends Erica and Kenessa showed up yesterday with cheeseburgers and Frosty's. Made my day!
- Just got an email from our Main office that a water pipe broke in our Court....yay!
Snuggles while watching Dora on Netflix.
Nigh-Night Hugs
While I was at the store, Nate hosted a Cam vs Roo basketball game....cracked me up to come home and see Roo in a jersey, hilarious!!

I'm sure your names are cute. That's why we didn't really share the name because we figure once they're born and that's their name people don't say anything!
I miss your whole family. Also I saw what I think is your girl name choice written down somewhere--LOVE IT!
DeAnn, you're probably thinking of the right girl name, and I KNOW!! I love it too, it grows on me more and more!
Okay, as for the apartment issues:
We weren't having any problems with our bathroom sink until they went and fixed yours!! Now we have icky stuff backing up into ours (don't worry, I know it's not your fault, I just think it's funny that they "fixed" it, but ruined ours!)
Also, you should have seen me showering the other night (not literally, but you get what I mean.) The water was so cold I was trying to scrub down as quickly as possible! Last night I just prayed it would be warm again because I played basketball and was so sweaty/stinky I didn't think a "sponge bath" would suffice if it was too cold to actually get in the shower - well, it was warm for me last night, so I hope you got a warm shower too!
Also, I haven't seen the water pipe email yet, but I did see it early this morning when I left for the bus - the whole playground is like a swimming pool of wood chips! Oh the joys...
