They're So Fun!

Roo has established quite the vocabulary that I know she wouldn't have if she didn't have an older brother.  Sometimes it bothers me, but most of the time, I think it's really endearing.  I love watching my children's personalities rub off on each other.  I don't really feel like I was quite as molded or shaped by my siblings' influences because I have very few memories of them as a child.  So it's been fun to realize that it can even happen!

Words Roo can say, thanks to Cameron, not her parents!
  • Spiderman
  • Bad Guy
  • Gun
  • Bullets
  • Mine!
It's pretty cute.  And only slightly disturbing when my baby girl walks up to me with a Nerf gun and says "Bullets please, Mommy."

We read scriptures every night with the children.  Cam always likes to repeat a verse.  We give him a few words at a time to repeat.  Last night we were reading in Mosiah, where King Benjamin gives his beautiful message to the people.

Mom: "I would that ye will assemble yourselves...."
Cam: "I would that ye will assemble your shelves...."

I looked over and Nate was practically on the floor laughing.

After scriptures, the kids like to sing a song.  Whenever they choose "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star", they like to stand in the middle of the living room and turn in circles while they sing.  Last night Roo got so dizzy that she ran into the tv and then fell over.  Once again, we about peed our pants.  Took us awhile to settle down for family prayer.

Roo's looking like she and Lainey have been comparing looks.

Lainey's latest:

"Mom, you ruining my life."

"No, honey. I'm saving that for your teenage years."

Was that wrong?

Isaac said Behold the other day and Megan asked where he got that from. Definitely scripture study.

Remember when you would say astonished a lot? Maybe we molded you to say that. :)
