The next 3 days are going to be the warmest days of 2011 so far. So to celebrate, here's some bright, cheery beauty to enjoy.
My dad forwarded me these pictures last night.
Any guesses?
Tulips in the Netherlands!
Gorgeous, colorful, perfect, stunning, delicate tulips. My absolute most favorite flower ever.
Daffodils too.
They grew like crazy in Oregon, and every Spring they adorned our kitchen, living room and dining rooms, and I fell in love.
Both my dad and my sister DeAnn served their LDS missions to Holland.
I don't think it's fair that my favorite flower happens to have the shortest life. I wish they'd last for months and months. Nate brings me tulip bouquets each Spring (he loves me), and they never last more than a few days on my kitchen table.
I had tulips at my wedding. Two bouquets of them.
It was my only specific request. I didn't care about any other wedding detail.
When we bought our house several years ago, it was December. Imagine my surprise and excitement when Spring arrived and these beauties popped out of the ground in our front yard!
Someday I will have my own yard again, and I will plant tulip bulbs in every color all over the yard and pick my own fresh bouquet every week.
Happy Spring!!

your house was so cute! I love tulips too...they are so fresh. That's what I miss the most about England...tulips and daffodils all over the place the beginning of march!
Wow! I don't think I've ever seen so many tulips! Those pictures are gorgeous!!
I love tulips as well. I THINK I have a TON of them coming up in my yard. None of them have blossomed yet, but the leaves and stems are up and I HOPE they are tulips. We'll see soon.
Oh I LOVED the outside/yard of that house. The inside...not so much.
Oh my gosh. I HAVE to go to Holland. Those flowers are amazing and I have never known where to find them. I am in love.
Oh my gosh, I thought those fields were a RUG. Ha ha. That is so beautiful!
We love the tulips and daffodils here. You're welcome to stay with us if you ever want to come up here. :) We miss you. Our kids still talk about bowling with Cameron.
