"How About Gareth?"

Last evening was our annual Village 900 Court Easter Egg Hunt.  Hard to believe it's been a whole year since last year's Egg Hunt.  It snowed for that one...and it almost snowed for this one!  This year was fun though, especially now that both kids are old enough to enjoy things like this.  Makes it really fun for us as parents to watch.  Cam was old enough to stand his own this year, so he took off with the "big kids" and came out just fine with his 'allotted' 8 eggs (each child was allowed 8 eggs so it would be fair...smart idea!!).  Roo is a quick runner, but still needed some help.  Nate went with Cam, and I waddled after Roo.  Luckily our awesome friend, Gareth, decided to be on Roo's team and help her out.

I have to interupt my egg hunt story to talk about Gareth for a minute.  Gareth and Barbara are some of our favorite friends here in the Court.  They are both amazing with children, and they are our #1 go-to babysitters for our own kids.  Cameron and Roo absolutely LOVE Gareth.  Allie will drop what she's doing when we see them outside and run over and give them hugs.  Whenever they come to babysit, Cam is always anxious to get us out the door!  Both kids always beg to go sit with them during Church.  Gareth came over to watch the (heartbreaking) BYU Sweet 16 game with us, and Roo was attached to him like glue.  Last week, Nate and I were talking about some baby names, and Allie goes, "How about Gareth?"  It was hilarious.  Also, some of you have read on Facebook about Roo's excema problem, and Gareth took it upon himself to buy her some excema cream when he went to the store.  He told me, "Your kids are my friends, and I have to take care of my friends."

Anyway, so Gareth came out and helped me make sure Roo got atleast a few eggs.  It was quite the mob of kids, so he ran over and sat on an egg and saved it for her!  Sweetest thing ever!  It was a fun egg hunt.

Roo is ready!

Cam, ready and waiting patiently to start!

Team Gareth & Roo!

Good job, kids!!
