Last night I asked Cam to set his clothes out for school the next day.  He usually sets them all wadded up on the ottoman, but last night he did this:

Tuesdays mornings are always relaxing for me because Roo goes to Emma's while Cam is at school.  My house was oddly tidy today, so I actually got to sit down and menu plan and play with Claire and really relax, instead of feeling like I needed to get a lot of housework done.  Plus Claire had kind of a fussy day, so it was nice to just hold her.

Anytime I stick my tongue out at her, she does this!

This afternoon I was brave and took all 3 children to the library.  Cam went right up to the librarian at the hold desk and said, "Hi, can you help me find some books about tornadoes?"  So off the two of them went!  I took Roo to the childrens section, and Cam showed up a few minutes later with 5 books and 3 movies about extreme weather.  Funny kid!  Roo, of course, goes straight to the dvd's to look for Dora.  We loaded up the stroller with books and movies.  Libraries are so cool!  I have made a really long "to-read" list over the past few days, so I checked out a few books too.

Roo has been a picky eater lately, and it's driving me nuts.  So tonight I made her absolute favorite meal:  Soup full of red beans, barley, carrots, onions, spinach and tomatoes.  She seriously inhales it every single time I make it.  It cracks me up though, because the girl won't touch strawberry smoothies or macaroni and cheese...but she'll eat that soup!  I make it every other week or so because atleast I know she's getting those good nutrients then.  I had some homemade bread in the freezer left, so we thawed that to dip in the soup.  So good!  It's really amazing how much better I have felt in just one week of increasing the amount of veggies I eat.  Our bodies are designed to thrive on wholesome foods, and I love that.  I always feel sick after I drink soda or eat fast food now.  It tastes awesome, obviously, but it's not what my body wants to be living on!  Making two new vegetarian meals tomorrow, so I'm anxious to see how they taste!

Tonight there was a knock on my door, and it was a sweet Korean lady, SeungHee, who lives in our court.  I've only talked with her a few times before.  But she came up to give me a bowl of my favorite Korean food (dduk-boki!) and ask me if I'd tutor her daughter in English reading once a week.  I told her I'd love to!  She asked how much money I want for it, and I told her "Just food!  Korean food!!"  She thought I was joking, but I absolutely wasn't!!

Tonight it was Roo's turn for the "I Love You game".  Cameron said, "I love Rooster today because she is so much fun to play with!  And she's so pretty."  Wow, every little sister deserves to hear that from their big brother!  The "I Love You game" has been such a blessing in our home.  It's so nice to end our day with loving words, especially if it's been a rough day.

Ha ha ha, maybe Cam didn't wad his clothes up because he didn't want you to see the Spiderman shirt he strategically placed under that hoodie. Ha ha ha. What a silly kid.

That's awesome that you are going to tutor that girl! Even more awesome that you can get paid in Korean food! We live in such a great place.

I love taking the boys to the library and we actually have library cards to three different libraries in our area!!

I have a huge to-read list as well but working my way through The Count of Monte Cristo right now and that is taking MUCH longer than I expected!

Cam is an AWESOME big brother! Allie and Claire are very blessed little girls indeed!

Oh, and do you have a recipe for the soup that Allison loves? It sounds so good I want to try it. I should send you my homemade macaroni and cheese recipe - surely she wouldn't turn her nose up to that would she???
