Busy December

We've been plenty busy lately.  Quick re-cap of our little life:

*The brand new Natural History Museum opened a few weeks ago, so we took the kids up there this week.  They had so much fun.  They got to see dinosaurs and dig in an archeology field and play in a water stream and see an ant farm and learn about weather.  It's less than a mile up the road, so I think we'll be going a lot this winter.

*Claire had her 4 month checkup.  She's looking great!  Just like her siblings, she is slowly dropping lower and lower on the percentage charts, but her doctor said that's normal in breastfed babies.  She is growing and developing and happy as could be, I am so grateful.  She is finally starting to sleep in her crib and her naps are a little more predictable now.  She is SO much fun right now.  She loves to snuggle into my neck and then I squeeze her really tight.  Then she comes up for air, gives me a huge grin and dives back into my neck.  I could do that all day with her!

*We went to the dentist this week.  I hate the dentist, I'd rather give birth.  I'm glad that's over, and Nate and I lucked out with no cavities.  Poor Cam didn't fare so well...he has 3 tiny ones.  I'm pretty nervous to take him back in to get them filled next month, especially since he LOVES the dentist.  I don't want that to change!

*We have practically been living at the library.  I have been reading nonstop, and I currently have about 115 books on my to-read list.  I finished "Okay For Now", which is the book after Wednesday Wars.  I loved it so so much.  Maybe even more than Wednesday Wars.  I didn't want it to end, Doug quickly became one of my favorite characters ever.  Right up there with Scout Finch.  If I could, I'd buy both books for all of you.  Or maybe one of you.  Hmm, I'm sensing a giveaway in the future.... 

*Cam had his Christmas Concert with his class this week.  My mom came up and took us to lunch before the show.  Cam did such a good job!  He looked so cute in his reindeer antlers and doing his funny little dance moves.  I was really impressed at how well his music teacher had put everything together. 

*Nate finished up his finals this week, he is a happy camper!  He did well, and now he gets a break from school until September.  Because that's when he'll start his Masters programs.  Because we're going to get accepted.  We are....  He came home the other day and told me how excited he is to be a social worker.


*I am still spending lots of time in my kitchen.  Baking and cooking like a mad-woman!  It's been a fun new hobby, learning about new types of foods and trying lots of new recipes. 

*I am SO excited for Christmas!  I cannot wait to watch my children open their gifts.  They are going to be so happy!!!
