DeAnn Came!

My sister (and best friend) DeAnn came to Utah last weekend.  Her sole purpose in coming was to go to a BYU basketball game, but we like to think that seeing her family was a small part of it!  Back before my mission, DeAnn and I used to go to BYU games together all the time.  I had a crush on player Matt Montague, so we'd go down to the floor while the players were warming up and tried to get their attention by yelling at them....  Man, we were cool.  It's a shocker I made it to 21 without getting married, haha!!

Anyway, it was so fun to see her!  We are literally the exact same person, so we have a blast together.  Our sweet, dear great-aunt Millie's funeral was on Saturday, so I took Claire down to Glenwood for the funeral.  It was so fun to just visit with DeAnn and my parents in the car.

Highlights:

--DeAnn: "Was it gory?"

--Us figuring out that we have the same problems of leg aches and being tired at 1 pm....then discovering that we both don't eat.  "Well, that might be the problem...." 
Dad:  "Well, yeah....ya think?"

--Dad standing in the parking spot at BYU to save a place for Nate.

--Cougar tails (reeeeally long maple bars!)

--The White Curtains

--Roo accidently wearing Pepperdine colors

--Me, being petrified on the Utah freeways: "The Holy Ghost isn't comforting me right now."
Dad: "Because you're not dying."

--Laughing about the McDonalds story...it never gets old.

--DeAnn and I showing up on Saturday morning in the exact same shirt....go figure.

--DeAnn's reason for wearing pants to the funeral.

--Nate offering to eat DeAnn's western burger.

--Us ordering the exact same thing at Texas Roadhouse.  Once again, go figure.

--Steve ordering 38 lb of apples from Bountiful Baskets....and wanting to order the carrots.

--DeAnn telling about the hilarious-ly ridiculous plot to "The Best of Me".  Grace has Bob's dead wife's heart!!

--I Wanna Marry Ryan Banks!  (Nothing to do this this weekend, but just want to throw it out there for memory's sake!)
