As of today, I have run 300 miles since I first stepped out the door with Staci last March. I ran 8 miles this morning with Ashley. I can't believe it. I never thought I'd EVER get to the point with running where I'd even want to run that far, let alone actually be able to do it. It was long and started getting a little painful at the end (darn you HILLS). But I did it! Such an amazing feeling. Nothing beats that feeling when you are DONE and get to walk and stretch and drink delicious water and float on a cloud for the rest of the day. Bring on 9 miles. Then 10...
My goal is to finish the half marathon in under 2:45:00. Actually, my goal is to finish in one piece. If I make my time goal, then that's just gravy on my big day. I can't wait!!
And...I have to give a huge shout-out to my man. Nate ran 6 miles on Tuesday. He is already a lot faster than me. I'm so proud of him!! Cam is already begging to run a 1-mile kids race. I love having a running family!

Little update on the kiddos:
Cameron is getting ready for another Tae Kwon Do test. This time he'll test for his green stripe. Then in February he'll test for his green belt. He is loving school. He likes to be involved in everything. Last week I went with him to the Book Fair & Breakfast. It was so fun to see him strutting around his school so confident and comfortable. Sometimes I forget how old and big he is getting!! I still like to freeze him as being a toddler...especially since he still likes to throw tantrums... That's fun. But really, he amazes me every day with how much he is changing and growing.
Roo is starting to fight us a little more on things and assert her independence. I'm not used to having to discipline and reason with her!! She is doing great at preschool and has really taken off with writing her letters and her drawing skills. She LOVES to color and draw right now, it's really cute. She still acts like a cat and meows when most adults talk to her, but despite that, her vocabulary has taken off too.
Claire gets fiestier every day. This morning, she was sitting on the couch, and Nate stood in front of her, blocking the tv, and she yelled, "Move!!!!" really loud and really angry. It was HILARIOUS. I didn't know she knew that word!! Also, when we play outside now, she likes to take off down the sidewalk to the parking lot. No more sitting around reading for me! I have to chase her everywhere! She is such a doll though. She folds her arms during prayers now. She LOVES it when you hide behind furniture or walls and jump out and yell Boo! She cracks up (you can still hear her stridor when she laughs, it's cute) and then takes off running.
Dora Wig from grandma. Awesome. It's crazy though, I'm not sure what it's deal is...
Auggie turns one!

You are so amazing Becca, thank you for posting this and giving me some needed motivation to get back to my running ways from when I had McKinnley.
