A Morning Date

It's a lot tougher to find a babysitter for 3, so we decided to go on a little date hike this morning while Cam was at school.  Roo is down in Salem for a few days, so we just had to find someone for Claire.  Easy peasy lemon squeezy (as Cam would say).

It was SO NICE to be with Nate!  I miss him!  He has been so incredibly busy, and then with his P90X workouts and being a dad and everything else, we just haven't been able to spend some time together in a long time.

We parked up at the museum and then ran best we could up to where the trail branches off from the Bonneville Shoreline Trail.  This is the same hike I did with Staci a few weeks ago.  I forgot how tough of a hike it is!  Up and UP!  And up.

We finally made it to the top (the Living room), and Nate was very impressed!  He loved it!  We listened to John Mayer and Carrie Underwood and took in the amazing views.  I love this hike so much.

We had fun chatting.  We talked about what kind of dogs we want to get someday.  On the way down, we tried to run most of it.  My knee has been bothering me, so I couldn't run as much as I wanted.  Nate kept pretending he was on Ninja Warrior and doing hilarious jumps off the sides of the trail.  He's fun!
