My kids love milk. Really LOVE it. I'm sure most kids like milk, but I've always thought that my children like it more than the average kid. They both prefer it over water or juice....and Cam doesn't even like chocolate or strawberry milk. Cam would seriously live on milk if we let him. It took Roo awhile to catch on to her cup, but now she is almost as obsessed with it as he is. This is probably why it was such a struggle to wean them....it was definitely my decision, not theirs. (speaking of weaning, Rooster hasn't nursed in like 5 days, and my boobs feel like they might explode.)
It kind of melts my heart to watch the two of them with their morning milk:
Wow, they are beautiful children.
Motherhood & I did NOT get along today. I'm not really sure what's going on, but both of my babies have been making me act sorta crazy lately. I HATE days where you feel like all you did was fight with your children. I hate days when you don't feel like you were meant to be a mother. I seem to have those a lot.
I'm so grateful for simple occasions like 'milk mornings'..... moments when they love on each other and make each other laugh. It's because of these moments that I will wake up tomorrow morning, give them their milk and
keep on going.

Keep going! I have days like that, too.
My kids are milk fans as well. I buy it at Costco b/c it's typically a dollar less than the regular grocery store. Bought 4 gallons last Thursday. Gone. Just home from buying 4 more. I think I need to just put a cow in the back yard!
Haha, a cow in the backyard!! That would be hilarious, and then I could tell the kids to go 'get your own milk'! The cow would probably pay for itself in just a matter of weeks!
We go through 4 gallons a week....but now Roo has to drink her own whole milk, so we get 4 regular milks and 1 whole milk for her each week. Luckily we are on the WIC programs since we're in poverty....so that gets us a few gallons a month.
A cow in the backyard! LOL!
Becca, I'm sorry you had a crappy day. Some days are like that. You do a good job of looking for positive moments to share even if the rest of the day was hard. Reread your blog books when you want to scream. Love you.
BTW, we usually buy 6 gallons from Costco and Gwen got her own whole milk gallon. But it's gone now and she turns 2 on Monday so I'm done buying it. Something you can forward to in a year!
Tristan & Casey, I think you two should become 'bloggy friends'....I think you'd like each other's blogs.
Wow Tristan, Gwen is almost two! Weren't you just pregnant with her?!?
Seriously, we are going to get together next week!!!!! I will call you.
