Woostah

It's funny to me that a lot of people don't know Roo's real name!  I've been asked several times what her name is...especially around here, when new people move in.  Roo just gets stuck in their head because that's all we ever call her!  Her little pal, Alex, who is her age, calls her "Aah-Oo"...it stands for Allie Roo.

For whatever reason, we've now moved on from 'Rooster' to 'Roo-Stah'....and then 'Woo-Stah'.  (This makes me laugh because my friend used to call me Wooster in middle school!)  She'll point to herself and say "Stah, stah!"  She still can't say Cameron's name, so she calls him "Bops"...because we sometimes call him Cambop.  He still always calls her "Al's".  It's really sweet.

Strike a pose!!  This picture makes me laugh!

My abs are sore today.  I didn't know what was wrong with me at first, I kept checking my stomach and sides for bruises!  Maybe Nate kicked me during the night??  (I head-butted him one time in the middle of the night...and then we both woke up and couldn't stop laughing!  Sorry Hon!)  But I realized my abs were sore from actually being USED for once!!  I didn't really realize that your core muscles can get sore, and man, now I know they can!  Yesterday after step aerobics, we cooled down with Pilates.  I've never tried Pilates before, but I really liked it!  The more I'm working out, but more addicted to it I am becoming.  I'm so excited to push my body each day, and I'm already feeling my pants fit better!  Hauling Roo around and playing outside with my kids is becoming easier, and it's WAY easier to control my appetite for sweets now.

I'm learning more about my body and how capable it is.  I'll finish a class and think, "Wow, look how much my body just did, and I'm not even close to being in good shape yet!!"  Our bodies can do SO much more than most of us actually use them for!  What a blessing and a gift!  I'm grateful for what I've learned the past few weeks.  Click here for a great motivational article, and if this video doesn't inspire you, I don't know what will!  I never get sick of watching this!!!

TMI Warning! My comment contains way too much information! But . . .

I once swore I had to be pregnant because my booblies hurt like nothing I had ever felt before. It was really all the chest flies I had been doing and my muscles were super sore!

Sometimes I wonder if I'm getting my monthly visitor early because my abs are killing me from exercising. Then I wonder why I would have cramps so high on my stomach!

Isn't working out awesome? I love reading your workout posts because it reminds me of how I feel when I work out.

And Roo's outfit is adorable by the way.

Hmmmm - you are going to inspire me to start working out too I think! Aside from walking I've been pretty slack with looking after my body since Jeremy was born and I really need to do more. Thanks for posting about your work-outs!!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Alli's shirt! I prefer bright colours to pastels all the time and I'm so glad the stores have started stocking a variety of really beautiful colours for kids!

That's awesome Becca. I started a new yoga class on Monday nights and the first class I went to stretched my body to beyond belief. It feels soooo good though. I've been working out everyday and doing yoga along with it to help my soreness. I can feel the difference in my body already. I love the motivational video. Can't wait to hear your updates.

Wooster and Jeeves 4ever, haha! Chloe just looked over my shoulder at the computer and when she was the picture of you she squealed "Becky!!" Someday I hope Allie squeals when she sees me! :)
