It's already happening. The blessings from
truly studying the scriptures are quietly, but steadily pouring into my life and mind and heart. It's real. And it happened
fast. In a matter of days.
Starting today, I will be reading 10 pages a day in the Book of Mormon.
Read with me! If we read every day, 10 pages, we will finish by December 31, 2010. I'm doing it with or without you, but I'd love to have you join me! Let's welcome power and amazing blessings into our lives together. I guarantee it'll change you.
There are 2 options:
1. Start on page one - 1 Nephi, Chapter 1. If you aren't reading the Book of Mormon right now in your life, start here. If you've never read the Book of Mormon,
please join me and start here. If you don't have a Book of Mormon, I will get a free copy to you asap! I am reading 2 Nephi right now, but I've decided to start over today since I'll catch back up in just 7 days anyway.
2. Start where you are at if you're far into the Book already. Read 10 pages a day, and end up back where you're at on December 31st.
Here's what you do if you want to join me:
-Tell me you're doing it. We'll make the commitment together! I'll list our "team" on my blog and keep track of where we should be.
-Read with a purpose. Have some questions to be answered or a weakness to be strengthened. Answers will come.
-Read every verse with the question, "What does this teach me about Christ?" I promise it'll open up the Isaiah chapters in 2 Nephi for you!
-Read in a quiet place. Have no distractions. The Spirit speaks to us in a "still, small voice". I read either when Cameron is at school & Roo is napping...or I read after they are in bed at night.
-Don't get discouraged if you don't understand every word. Pay more attention to how you are
feeling instead of trying to keep track of every detail you read. Just keep going....I promise the peace and joy will take over.
-Do a blog post or email me on January 1, 2011 and tell me some of your experiences. I'm going to hold you to it. I can't wait to hear about the miracles in your life!!
Do you feel that? Something inside you is curious, intrigued, excited? Is your heart pounding a little bit? Miracles in
my life? Can they really happen? Can reading a book really change my life in a few weeks? Those feelings are the Spirit prompting you to go ahead and give it a try.
Here we go!
Day One is 1 Nephi 1:1 thru 1 Nephi 5:11

I so accept your challenge Becca. We're in Alma ch33 as a family but I'll do this one for my own personal growth. Looking forward to hear what everyone has to say.
I wanna join the team! 10 pages will be a TON, but I have a great "Book of Mormon: A Reader's Addition." Sweet for making the Book of Mormon morel like a novel!
I will try. It is hard to find moments to myself but I'm hoping it will be worth the effort.
You'll be surprised at how quickly the 10 pages will pass once you start this. I promise! You'll find yourself wanting to read more than 10.
This is SO exciting! I was worried nobody would comment!
I will take on the challenge. I have only read the BOM Once. I love reading your blog and find peace in many things you write.. I have had to deal with a lot of things in my life and and looking forward to see what will come of this. Thank you for writing and for the challenge..
Challenge accepted! I was actually going to start getting up before the kiddos to do some personal reading anyway, so I'll make it my BofM reading time.
Count me in!
I keep meaning to get better at reading my scriptures but tend to watch tv or do something else instead. Count me in and hopefully I can stick with it!
Kurt and I are BOTH going to do it!!! That is TWO more people, Becca! THANK YOU FOR THIS!
YAY!! I can't tell you guys how excited I am about this!!!
I know it seems daunting, but STICK TO IT!! If you fall behind or don't feel like doing it one day, just know that the rest of us are rooting for you to catch up and keep going! Closing the book on December 31st is going to be awesome!
I'm totally in! This is just what I needed! :)
I totally want to....but I'm scared of failure when baby boy comes and my mind turns to mush... :(
It's okay Kristi! We'll count you in, and just do what you can after that little baby arrives! Maybe you could read ahead before he comes...or maybe your hubby could read to you while you nurse? It's all good....this is NOT about being stressed, you'll find blessings and answers in ANY degree of scripture study!
Well I sure am gonna try! And you're super cute by the way. Just sayin'.
So you probably think I'm some creepy neighborhood stalker...but I love reading your blog. :) And I'm so in on the challenge, what a great goal for the next two months!!!

I'm in! I'm excited to push myself with this!
I just finished my 10 pages, and I LOVED knowing that all of you are reading the exact same verses today! As each of you sign up for this, I envision Satan getting more and more frustrated because he knows he's going to get kicked out of your lives! I LOVE IT!!
This is an answer to my prayers. I know it. I would love to join you! Thank you for sharing such a wonderful experience and letting others be apart of it with you. I would love to do this and I cannot wait!! I felt the Spirit just reading this post!! Thank you so much :)
And good luck to everyone!
Count both Jer and I in. We have been really wanting to get better with our scripture study, and this will definitely help us!
I'm already in! I would start over, but I'm actually reading it to McKinnley in Spanish by her first birthday and it's a little over one hundred pages longer so we're just getting our headstart! (We're approaching page 100 today!)
I came across this challenge through a friend's blog. I'm going to do it! Sounds like a great idea.
I am IN :)
Bring it on!
I read my 10 today! Thanks again, Becca!!!!
okay, I am in
I'll do it. I was going to read it again before having this baby, but that will just give me a head start and get me done early.
Jonathan and I read our 10 pages last night.
Becca, this is so awesome. I can't think of anyone better for inspiration!
I want to do this too!! Really this is such an incredible suggestion! We are just making our way through the BOM together for the first time as husband and wife! I would love to finish by the end of the year! Thank you so much for this encouragement!! You are amazing!!
I with you too! I love you. Thanks for inspiring me!
Awesome! I'm a little late since I just read this but count me in! :) Thanks for the great idea!
I am just a lurker, but I have to say that I am always inspired by the things you are doing. This challenge was a perfect answer to my prayers. I read twenty pages tonight, so now I am all caught up. Knowing that others are reading the same verses on the same day I am is empowering. Aren't the scriptures awesome?!
I got a head start. I have been listening to the Book of Mormon on my ipod while I am driving. Just started last month. I am in Alma chapter 50 already. I have enjoyed listening while I drive to and from work. I think it has helped me get through the stressful nights at IMC.
