Yesterday after school, Staci and I took the kids to the zoo.  I love the zoo in the colder months of the year because it's really empty, and the animals are usually more active, especially the big cats.  Staci took a few pictures with her phone.  Oh we just love these 4 crazies!!  I keep trying to get Staci to hurry it up and pop out a friend for Claire, ha!  Not gonna happen though! :)  I guess I'll have to do it!

For dinner last night, I made an asparagus/spinach pesto over veggie pasta with roasted yams.  I about fell off my chair when Cam took a bite and said, "I LOVE this!" and scarfed down his entire bowl.  That kid rocks at the dinner table!!

Today was a lazy, lazy day.  On purpose.  It was really nice to just relax, especially after all of the running around we do lately.  We just hung out, I got lots of cleaning done, Sam came over and played for a few hours, and I did some baking.  I made banana-chocolate chip muffins and my new favorite, Naan.  For dinner I made a Middle Eastern Greens soup with collards, swiss chard, spinach, garbanzo beans and yogurt to eat with the naan.  I'm so in love with chard, ha!  I was giddy buying it at the store this week, it tastes so good!  I'm a dork.  But seriously, just look how beautiful chard and collards are!!  And I know I've been talking about food a lot lately, but I've become slightly obsessed with it lately....

Tonight I went over to my friend, Britton's to meet her 3-day old, little Beckham, and help her with some breastfeeding issues.  I haven't seen Claire next to a younger baby before, and I could not believe how ginormous she seems!!  As Roo gets closer to turning 3, her sass and attitude is coming out more and more.  Age 3 is WAY worse than age 2, for those of you who don't know that!!  I keep looking at Claire, and it's hard to imagine her ever being sassy and going to time-out!  Got that Claire?  No sass!!

I feel the same about my baby--it's hard to imagine him growing into a 3 year old and talking back, or saying "NO!" But, I felt the same about my other two...and it happens anyway. *sob* I'm soaking up the fun baby time and trying to focus on the cute/good in the others as well.

I miss Claire. And yes terrible twos is a myth. It's terrible threes!
