I meant to post this a few days ago, but we have been outside playing in this 50 degree weather all week!! Loving it!
Read, Read, Read!! My goodreads goal is 30 books for this year.
Read the Doctrine & Covenants and the New Testament in my personal daily scripture study. It's been several years since I've read the Doctrine & Covenants, and I've never read the entire New Testament, so I'm excited about this goal. The Bible comes alive when you have a solid knowledge of the truths taught in the Book of Mormon, especially the Plan of Salvation and the amazing covenants God made with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
Track my exercise and daily eating in a journal. Record what I eat each day and what exercising I've done. I've always wanted to do this. I'm a visual person, so I like seeing my progress and results in front of me, and I'm hoping it'll help me keep it up. Plus, now when I make and eat 15 pumpkin cookies in one evening, I have to atleast own up to it!! I'm going to keep this journal on a blog. It's not going to be very interesting, but ya'll are welcome to read along.
Move more. I don't want to set a strict exercise schedule, because I already know I won't keep it. I just have the goal to do SOMETHING every day. I love living on the top floor of my building because atleast I get a stair workout in every day, whether I want to or not!!! I promised my dad I would run the Salem Days 5K with him in August, so unless I'm pregnant by then (no comment), I'm committed to do it! And even more, I'd love to run it in under 30 minutes.
Keep trying new recipes and filling my little family up with vegetables and whole grains. I have started ordering Bountiful Baskets now, so I'm excited to see what we get each week!
Play with the children more. I have been really working on this lately. Stopping whatever I'm doing and just playing whatever they want to play. Say "Sure!" when Roo asks for the zillionth time to be pushed on the swing or when Cam wants me to be his owner when he's a cat. Other things can always wait. It has been so great, and I hope to keep this up. Life is too precious. They are too precious....
Pray for each child individually. Once a week or so, I like to kneel by each child one by one as they sleep and pray just for them. Pray for their specific needs and successes. Plead with Heavenly Father to keep them safe and for the Spirit to be poured over them every single day.
Weekly Family Service. Do a project or activity with the children each week where we focus on serving others. Usually it will be baking bread for neighbors or something simple like that. I'd love some ideas....!!

Great goals! I am going to start a personal health/fitness blog in the next couple days, too. I've made a goal to try and keep up on our family blog as well!
You can do all of this! I know you can.
30 books is acheivable. If I can do it, you can, too. We're similar!
Becca, you are seriously the best mom ever. Your kids are so lucky to have you.
Great goals Cousin. Looking forward to 2012 with you!!
Come visit me in Kirtland to make the D & C come alive!!! Bring Cwaire.
Such good goals! They've given me some good ideas. :)
AWESOME goals for the year! I'm still thinking about my goals for this year... with the new baby arriving in April my motto is "keep it simple" for all areas of life! Not even sure what a realistic reading goal is for the year given the possibility that I could end up with a 3rd NON sleeper! :-)
