32 and Ohio Bound

My long run on Monday ended up hurting my foot.  The ligament on top of my big toe got strained or pulled or something.  :(  But it's feeling better, so hopefully just a few more days of rest will be all it needs!  Once my race is over, I'm done with those long runs!  5-6 milers, tops.  I'd rather be able to stay injury-free and run for the rest of my life!!

On Tuesday, Nate was awesome and let me go down to see my mom for a few hours.  Alone!  We went shopping at My Sister's Closet and had lunch at Kneader's for my birthday.  It was really fun.  My mom and I have a better relationship now than I think we ever have, and I'm so grateful for that.  When I got home, Nate had cleaned out and organized our desk area, front closet and living room.  And then he went grocery shopping for me since I can hardly walk on my dumb foot.  We made Navajo tacoes for dinner.  Homemade scones...SO yummy!

Well, Nate giving me a lovely day to myself sounds great, right?  Awesome man.  Well, that's not even the beginning of what he's doing for me.

I'm off to Ohio this weekend.

Alone.

For 8 days.

With my sister.

Nate will be Mr. Mom.

I love him!!

I'm gonna miss my babies like crazy.

I hate flying.

So much.

But DeAnn, her family, sleeping in, Kirtland, Olive Garden, chick flicks and more sleeping in??  So worth it.  Starting age 32 off with a bang!

My mom felt bad that I was sick for DeAnn's entire trip here, back in January, so my parents are sending me to her again!  I feel so humbled and loved and blessed.

Here's a few Blast from the Past pictures for your viewing enjoyment.  Can't believe I'm 32!!
