I was carpooling with Josh, so he drove to the Sunnyside church and texted me that he was there. I wrote back and said, "Take some selfies while you wait." He was one step ahead of me. He had already taken a ton. I'm telling you, we have the same brain.
When we got there, it was freeeeezing outside, and we didn't want to get out of the van. But we didn't want to leave Robert Merriman all alone, so we finally got out. Slowly the group gathered up, and there ended up being about 20 of us! It was so fun to meet everyone. Such wonderful, kind, funny people. We spent some time visiting and laughing (a lot).
Quick backstory, so I started reading the blog a few months ago of a runner named Cory. He takes these awesome pictures of himself jumping when he runs races.
So when I heard he was going to be at this run, I was pretty excited. Going against my usually somewhat shy nature, when I saw him, I went right up and said, "Will you jump for us?" I didn't even care if I was coming off as a creeper, I was seizing the moment! So not only did he jump, but he gave us a tutorial. A lesson on how to jump and how to capture it in a picture. It was hilarious and awesome. Turns out he puts the camera on the ground to make it look like you're jumping higher than you are. Maybe that's obvious, but I thought it was genius. :)
So of course, we all had to give it a try! Hilarious...but I think we need some practice! :)
A few other pics from the morning:
Robert Merriman! You're the man!!
I think the three of us make a great running team! Hoping for many more runs with these two!
Same awesome people, just a few feet to the right! Susette has such a beautiful smile!!
Joshua took these pictures. I think these donuts look awkward....
Such a FUN morning! I wish we could meet up every Saturday. These people feel like home to me. I love them all so much. And I LOVE running so much!

How I wish I ran that last two miles with you. I needed to run a bit more, but ... meh. It was fun either way!
But, let's talk about those selfies. It's an art that only me and 14 year old girls have mastered.
Nah, you ran 13 miles just two days before. That totally counts.
Yes, Yes, Yes you can come trail running with me!! It wasn't snowing when we started that run but I did have some good traction on those trail running shoes for when it did. Corner Canyon is my all time favorite place to trail run. I'll definitely let you know next time I head up there.
Your kids at the top of the blog are so darling. Their little faces are so cute and sweet. I bet they keep you busy and hopping though.
Thanks for visiting my blog. I'm a little behind as you could see on my posts. I'll catch up soon here though.
Happy DECEMBER!!
