Ogden 26.2: Week ONE

Week One

Unfortunately this week was cut short because I got sick.  I woke up Thursday, Friday and Saturday with a headache and sore throat.  I decided not to push it and just rest.  I figured my two half marathons earlier this month were sufficient, and I could take a rest week.  I'm feeling much better!

On Tuesday, I went to see a physical therapist at Memorial Clinic for my hip pain.  It was such a wonderful session!  He spent a good 20 minutes just testing my hip.  He said my flexibility, range of motion and the anatomy of my hip all looked great, which is GOOD news!  He did say that while my strength wasn't "bad" in my hips, that strengthening my hips would solve my problem.  So he gave me 3 exercises to do every day, and then I'll go back every week or two to check in.  He was confident that I shouldn't need more than 3 or 4 visits.  I really liked him.  He is a runner, too and had full confidence that I can go forward with my marathon training.  I was SO happy to hear that!!  I'll continue to update my PT progress each week as well.
